After writing down things I miss on our latest assignment, My Quarantine Life in Numbers, I'm really starting to realize how much I miss school. Don't get me wrong, there have definitely been periods of my life where Alta Loma was a living hell for me, but that's not what I want to focus on right now. Instead, I would like to share a few memories about school that make me smile and laugh.

Let's go back to freshman year. It was the weekend before first semester finals, and Ms. Roberts had offered all her honors bio kids a Saturday school. About every student from all her classes went, so we had to use the cafeteria as our classroom. Of course, the cafeteria has gigantic windows on the side that faces the locker room, of which you can really only see out of, not in. We were in the middle of reviewing a topic and all of a sudden you see this random student and two of his friends boost him up to the roof of the locker room. I'm just going to assume that he didn't see us because of that whole window thing. We were all watching and laughing, so Ms. Roberts decided to take a look for herself and- well, it was hilarious. She stopped right in the middle of what she was doing, ran outside to speak to the three students, and all you could see was her angered face while pointing back and forth. Later she came back in and said "YOU BETTER NOT DO SOMETHING THIS STUPID, OR SO HELP ME GOD," we all tried holding in our laughter which was way too hard. Later on freshman year, around spring time, the dance team had its exhibition show. I was a part of the JV dance team at the time, so we were learning a new routine. Of course, performance day came and as we were dancing, my left shoulder just DISLOCATES...RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF IT. I cannot explain how badly I wanted to scream. Alas, we were in front of an audience, so I held it in.

Ah, sophomore year. I was taking Mrs. Owen's AP World class that year, and it had been around the time of Vikings vs. Polynesians. Somehow, Jason Momoa was brought into the conversation by Mrs. Owen explaining how hot she thought he is. Mind you, everyone was talking and laughing BUT AS SOON AS I SAY "girrrrrrl, you're married" the class was SILENT when I said that, but everyone started laughing again after that, so I guess it's okay. On the topic of Mrs. Owen's class, I dislocated my shoulder there too. Basically, one of my friends and I were partners for an assignment, but we always found ourselves bored in that class. I'm double jointed, so I was like hmm let's see what else I can do, since I was bored of course. I can't even tell you what I did to my shoulder but it just popped out of it's socket AGAIN. Luckily for me, it went right back in so I didn't have to be like "MY SHOULDERRRR" right in the middle of class. Another fond memory I have of sophomore year was actually lunch. However, there's this specific day that really stands out. I had second lunch, and a fight broke out in the shelter next to the auditorium, but closer to the gym if that makes sense. My friend group and I were always next to the shelter opposite of that. But all of a sudden, we see a bunch of people swarming the area and as we're walking to see what's going on, a *not empty* bottle of Gatorade FLIIEEESSS right over us and spills all over the floor and probably hit the girls fighting. This may not sound as funny to you as it does to me, and this is going to sound so cliche, but man, you HAD to be there. It literally felt like the bottle was going in slow motion. Oh- can't believe I almost forgot...I also dropped into splits for my Spanish class that year when we were showing off 'weird' talents we had.

ALMOST DONEEEE- junior year. During second semester, I would usually walk down to Red Hill with one of my friends. One day as we were walking down, he told me he had done something to our friend's car and asked me if I wanted to see. I was already laughing so hard at what he had said to me, so I of course had to go check it out...HE PUT MINI GEORGE LOPEZ PRINTS ON HIS WINDSHIEEELLDDDDD. We called down our friend whose car he just did this to, and we said something along the lines of 'uhhhh...someone did something to your car..lol' in order to not sound so suspicious. He of course was laughing as hard as we did, before he got there of course. This prank continued on for a few weeks to maybe even over a month. To THIS DAY, he has absolutely no idea who put all these things on his car. ALSO- if you know who I'm talking about, I would greatly appreciate that we keep this as a little secret :)

Senior year, huh. Well, there's not much I can say here yet, I'm sure we're all aware as to why.

Your friend should've played Lowrider after showing your other friend the George Lopez cut-outs on his car.

This made me nostalgic for the life all of us once had. It really is a shame that senior year has to be this way.

I couldn’t stop smiling while reading this. It feels like I’m literally just talking to you during a normal school day. I loved how you provided a memory from each year of high school (besides senior year lol)

This was really funny to read! I love how strong your voice is, it feels like you're really telling me all these stories instead of me just reading them on a screen. (by the way, your website is so pretty and I LOVE Car Seat Headrest)
