I'm definitely a frequent concert go-er. To put it into perspective, I've been to ten so far. Of course, this past year of not being able to go to a single one really has me reflecting on the overall feeling you get from going to one, because it's truly crazy.
When listening to your favorite artists, it's hard to even imagine that these are real people, since we only hear about them through their social media, music, interviews, etc. To even know you have a chance of seeing them in person because you want to buy that concert ticket so bad is absolutely amazing to me. Like, in order to finally see and potentially meet one of your favorite artists, you have to pay to be in their presence? Nonetheless, that never stops anyone from buying an overpriced ticket, me included.
Buying that ticket feels so personal. Like, because of this piece of paper, I'm going to have one of the greatest and most memorable nights of my life.
Having the ticket in your possession is already an insane feeling, but the anticipation waiting inside the arena is even greater than that.
You sit in your seat or stand in the pit for what could be hours, and with each passing moment you keep having more adrenaline pumping throughout your entire body. But, oh man, once those lights turn off and the curtains go down, you get so nervous. But, a good nervous. Like, "am I really experiencing this right now?" good nervous. You stand up with the rest of the crowd and start screaming at the top of your lungs out of complete excitement. Then, the music starts playing and they start singing.
Whenever I see an artist perform, I just watch them in awe. Like, there is no way I'm seeing you. In person. With my own two eyes. Of course, I have to take a couple videos for memories and proof.
Having to leave isn't even the worst part, it's actually being back home. You'll just be lying in bed listening to music and think to yourself, "wow...it's really over," and it just SUCKS...but watching the videos you took makes it all better.
